How many invitations should I order?

When you meet with a stationery designer, one of the first questions you'll have is: how many invitations should I order?
And although the answer seems obvious, it can be complicated. The answer is directly related to the guest list, but that's where the difficulty begins - sending one per family, one per household, one per couple... Although there's no right or wrong answer, and in fact it ultimately depends on the client's wishes.
When couples or families share a single invitation, the total number is considerably reduced. For example, if you have 120 guests, you might only need 60 to 70 invitations. A good practice is to order around 60 per cent of the number of your guests as a reference.

Also, if you choose to personalise the invitations or include calligraphy, remember to add more envelopes or invitations to correct possible mistakes.
These extras also include an additional invitation as a souvenir for you and one for the photographer to include in the photo session.
The number of invitations you should order varies according to the type of event, and to prevent any unforeseen circumstances you should always have extra invitations (but not too many) and a digital invitation.
